Client: Mentoring USA was founded by the Cuomo family (former First Lady of NY State Matilda Cuomo) to create positive and supportive mentor relationships for underserved youth ages 7-21, through a structured site-based model across the United States and internationally.
THE CHALLENGE
Create and execute organizational growth strategy to scale programs, launch dynamic marketing, increase partnerships, and raise funding to increase equity + opportunity for youth in underserved communities. Create sustainable long-term funding model through grants, fundraising, and corporate partnerships to expand organizational growth and impact.
THE STRATEGY
Develop strategic plan to drive organizational growth, build infrastructure, programs, funding, partnerships, celebrity ambassadorships to scale programs to have a positive impact on youth and bring equity and opportunity to underserved communities. Spearhead marketing, digital/social media and communications initiatives, as well as managing book content and ghostwriting OpEds.
GAME-CHANGING EXECUTION
Drive organizational growth, equity and inclusivity strategy to scale programs, build infrastructure, hire diverse senior teams, expand programs, launch dynamic marketing, raise funding, and increase partnerships and celebrity engagement. Lead development and marketing to expand youth mentoring programs to build equity and bridge the achievement gap in underserved communities. Spearhead partnerships with leading corporations and organizations including Bloomingdale’s, Verizon, AT&T, Macy’s, Delta, NASDAQ, Bloomberg, NBA, Avon, Verizon, Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, etc.
Create dynamic marketing, communications, and digital content to raise brand visibility and impact, including marketing decks, white papers, Op-Eds, and social media campaigns. Recruit celebrities for high-impact book on mentoring. Interview and ghost write content for business and political leaders including Van Jones and Senator Cory Booker. Double the amount of youth mentored and enhance inclusivity throughout programs, bringing equity and opportunity to underserved areas.
